Last July, from the 13th to the 21st, we had the pleasure to travel to Bordeaux, where we participated in the “Entre-Deux-Airs” Festival. We were invited by the hosting orchestra, similar in style and format to ours.
During our stay, we were give the opportunity to play in emblematic sights such as Quinsac Church, the Cave de Sauvaterre-de-Guyenne, the Castle of Tustal de Sadirac and the Place de la Prévôté de Créon.
Moreover, we were gathered with orchestras from all over the world with which we had the chance to share stage and swap conductors. Therefore, we played with the Orchestre Symphonique des Jeunes de Montréal, and shared stage with other invited ensembles, like U16, Das Junge JSO der Tonhalle, La Orquestra da Universidade Federal do Cariri and the Ensemble Altissimo, among others.
All in all, it has been an enriching experience for the members of the orchestra since we have been able to do two of the things we appreciate the most: performing and getting to know new cultures!
